Beginner Brazilian Jiu Jitsu – Monday and Wednesday @ 6:00 PM to 7:20 PM

Our beginner class is geared towards students with little-to-no martial arts experience. Students learn basic and fundamental BJJ and self-defense techniques, while getting to practice these skills almost immediately with other students.

The beginner program is based on our White-to-Blue Belt Curriculum, which focuses on technical knowledge and application.

The curriculum is broken down into five stages:

  • 1st Stripe Achievement – 3-month period
  • 2nd Stripe Achievement – 6-month period
  • 3rd Stripe Achievement – 9-month period
  • 4th Stripe Achievement – 12-month period
  • 4th Stripe to Blue Belt – 15-month period

The rate in which students advance onto higher levels depends on the amount of time they can commit to training each week. On average, all five stages can be accomplished in 15 months or approximately 170 classes.

Students can also advance to each stage sooner by accumulating credits through:

  • Participating in seminars
  • Taking private classes
  • Participating in competitions

Students who achieve their Blue Belt (or higher) can participate in our Assistant Instructors Program. This program provides our higher level students with the opportunity to assist and mentor students in our Beginners (White Belt) class, which in turn helps them to advance onto their next belt level.

Advanced Brazilian Jiu Jitsu – Monday and Wednesday @ 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM

These classes are designed to teach more advanced BJJ techniques to our higher level students, as well as provide an opportunity to train with opponents of comparable skill level. The techniques taught in this class are geared towards students who’ve achieved their blue belt and higher.

Our advanced class is based on the Blue-to-Purple Belt curriculum. It covers our five-stage belt curriculum. Blue Belts can achieve their Purple Belt in as little as 22 months or approximately 420 classes.

  • 1st Stripe Achievement – 6-month period
  • 2nd Stripe Achievement – 10-month period
  • 3rd Stripe Achievement – 14-month period
  • 4th Stripe Achievement – 18-month period
  • 4th Stripe to Purple Belt – 22-month period
